Kellie Huyton is an experienced healthcare leader and registered nurse with nearly two decades of clinical expertise. Since qualifying in 2007, Kellie has built a career across General Surgery, Intensive Care, and District Nursing, culminating in her current role as Matron, Clinical Lead, and Lead Non-Medical Prescriber for a pioneering Community Intravenous Therapy Service.
The service has evolved significantly, introducing a community clinic, expanding treatment pathways annually, and improving patient flow. Her innovative approach aligns closely with the NHS 10-year plan to move care closer to home.
A passionate advocate for service transformation, and as a long-standing member of the National Infusion and Vascular Access Society (NIVAS) since 2018, Kellie consistently champions best practice standards and innovation in intravenous therapy and vascular access. She aspires to represent community services on national platforms, sharing her experience in delivering safe, high-quality care closer to home.
